1. What is McDonald’s core products? ( what is the buyer really buying?)
2. What is augemented product? (atmosphere, customer interation….etc)
3. what type of pricing strategy they are using? is it good or bad for the company?
1) we may think core products are all the fastfood it sold but actually it is selling its brand and dining experience.
2) augemented product means the extra or value-add things that comes together with the main product. for mac, accompanying the food are the fast customer service, dining experience and the “i’m loving it” brand
3) mac’s price strategy varies. sometimes they charge premium comparing to other fastfood restaurants but sometimes they also have low price strategy with discount coupons or cheaper deals.
its good for the company to use different pricing strategies because each of them actually follows different corporate strategy.
