Workforce

Under the CHW Alliance there is a committee on workforce development.  The mission of this committee is to:

  1. Mission:  Promote the role of CHWs and establish a sustainable system to fund CHWs in Minnesota. 

Priority Objectives:

  1. Define and promote the role of the CHWs in the social and healthcare sectors in Minnesota.
  2. Implement more Employer Forum Webinars to help inform employers on the role of the CHW and the benefits they bring to organizations.
  3. Advance the CHW legislation on Medicaid reimbursement for CHWs as enrolled providers in Minnesota.
  4. Create best practice models on funding stream models to support CHWs in the workforce. 
  5. Advance a data base for employers to use which tracks CHW outcomes which will help establish effective data.
